Chip PC is currently the only thin-client vendor that has implemented User level management on its thin clients, providing:
* Secured Environment: device access is secured by logon window prompting for User Name, Password and Domain. Only valid users that can be successfully authenticated by the organization's domain and by Xcalibur management software will be able to use the Xtreme PC.
* Personal User Settings Deployment: At the end of a successful user logon process the Xcalibur management software sends all user-based Connections & Settings to the Xtreme PC.
* Centralized Users & Groups based Management.
* Transparent Environment: A user logging on from any device that includes this plug-in will receive connections and security settings defined for him and the groups he belongs to regardless of the physical location of the device being used.

* Xcalibur Management Software installed on Server-Side: Since all personal user/group settings are saved into the Xcalibur database, the Xcalibur Users & Groups cannot be functional without the Xcalibur Management Software.
* For EL devices: Xcalibur Device License (SNMP Agent) must be installed to enable Users&Groups management |
